Game Collection Roundtable 05/14/2016: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4), Raiden V (Xbox One), Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Video Games –

PlayStation TV
Lego Movie (vita)
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (Vita)

Picked this set up for 66 bucks, which also came with a PS3 Dual Shock. I find it really hard to play the vita these days without my tendons hurting severely,, so this will help me clear my backlog.

Silver Creek Falls: Chapter 2 (PC)

Only 2.49 right now, so I grabbed it. I enjoyed Chapter some which was free.

Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower
One of the most popular board games ever made is back…in Age of Sigmar form. You’re damn right I ordered this.

Battletome: Flesh Eater Courts
Another AOS product, but this time a book.

Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Xbox One)

There was a time when I’d buy Halo games on launch day (this was back when I still enjoyed playing FPS games competitively). I’d still do that if the campaign was good enough to merit it, but everything I’d heard about Halo 5: Guardians is such that I couldn’t justify it, not to mention the omission of the split screen mode. However, Gamefly recently had it at a price point where I was willing to find out for myself if it’s as disappointing as they say. Metal Gear Solid V was another of those that a day one purchase wasn’t in the cards, so I picked that up as well.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – Somehow it is more Uncharted, but also very, very different. More self aware, less focus on the action, more developed. It is not what I expected and exactly what I expected, and I am enjoying the heck out of it.
