Game Collection Roundtable 12/18/2015: Summon Knight 5 (PSP), God Eater 2: Rage Burst (PS Vita), Rainbow Six Siege

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Video Games:

Summon Knight 5 (PSP) – the second to last ever US release for the PSP. Yes, I bought the physical release, but the digital version came out Tuesday. I’m excited to play it.

Tabletop Games:

I ended up doing three more days of Reaper’s Christmas giveaway. Buy $35 in minis and get a limited edition free figure that is only out that day. Like I needed MORE shit to paint. (NOTE: I have to add in Friday’s purchases)

Persona – Sony PSP
Persona 2: Innocent Sin – Sony PSP
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment – Sony PSX
God Eater 2: Rage Burst – Sony PS Vita

I’d never been terribly interested in owning the PSP Persona remakes, because I didn’t care for the “correct” changes made to the original Persona for its US re-release (and I think we can all admit that while the franchise is mostly awesome, HOLY SHIT is the first game hard to love), and didn’t have enough time to invest in P2:IS after having played through it once already. With Atlus having run a recent sale, however, I opted to pick up both games (as well as a digital version of P2:EP) so that I can livestream them, and while I wish Atlus had just translated the remade P2:EP because it’s going to be kind of annoying in retrospect having to rectify the newly translated names with the original names (IE, Reiji was originally Chris, Maki was originally Mary), for the most part it’s really fun having all three original Persona titles on my Vita. Living in the future is pretty great sometimes.

I also ended up importing God Eater 2: Rage Burst since it’s become apparent that no one is chomping at the bit to translate it for Western release, and it’s God Eater, basically, so while I have no idea what’s going on, I’m still enjoying it anyway.

Madson

Star Wars Battlefront (XBO)
Dragon Ball Xenoverse (XBO)
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 (PS4)
Summon Night 5 (PSP)
Q*bert: Rebooted (PS4)
Rollers of the Realm (Vita)
Echo Night (PSN)
Shadow Tower (PSN)
Armored Core (PSN)

The holiday season is one of little restraint, so I loaded up on licensed games and PlayStation Network sale items. I also got my voucher from my Summon Night 5 pre-order, so I can fire that up even before my UMD ships.

Kess

Rainbow Six Siege – a game that has some pretty heinous transactions at full retail, but when you pull the version with the season pass for $20 it becomes a lot more palatable(even then the Maps and characters are free, the season pass just gets them sooner, along with an EXP boost.) The game play is fantastic and is the best shooter I have played this year. One of the most internally divisive games I have ever played.

DTN

Yes yes excellenttttttt :>

I uh didn’t get anything because I’m waiting for Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel but I may go buy the Cloud DLC for Super Smash Bros 3DS just to bring out my game again
