Looking for something to get on Steam? Having trouble sorting through everything that’s in the store? We have you covered through our Steam curator list, where we post recommendations of games we’ve reviewed here on DieHard GameFAN or have played through on our own time. Additionally, once a week we’ll be posting recommendations for games on our list, highlighting one of the many games we’ve played and loved. The Lost Crown
Publisher: Iceberg Interactive
Developer: Darkling Room
Release Date: 06/08/2014
The Lost Crown is one of the creepiest games I’ve ever played. It won a number of awards from us back in 2008, including Best PC Game and Best Adventure Game. The story follows Nigel Danvers as he investigates paranormal activity in the unassuming town of Saxton. Using some high tech gear combined with some hilariously low tech methods, you’ll hunt for ghosts and try to solve the mystery of the town. The game’s eerie black and white aesthetic combined with a clever audio mix will certainly creep you out at times. While it hasn’t held up perfectly, it’s still more than worth a playthrough by any fan of horror and/or adventure games. Check out the trailer below, and keep an eye out on the sequel, which should theoretically be coming out soon!
