We’re at round three of DanganRonpa limited editions, this time around for the spinoff game DanganRonpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (man, that’s a mouthful). As of this writing, you can pick one up for yourself on NISA’s online store for $64.99. You’ll have to act soon though, because the stock levels have dipped into the 11-25% level. Not sure if you want to commit? Well, you’re in luck, because I tore into this set and am passing my findings onto youuuuuuu!
*ahem* So, here is the set along with the “bonus” items.
And the flip side.
Let’s not forget the side view.
Before we dive into the main contents, let’s take a closer look at that mysterious black box.
And inside we have…?
I actually had to flip them over to be able to tell, but it’s actually pins.
But enough with that, let’s get to the meat of this thing.
I’m going to start with the white box, because that’s a mystery just waiting to be uncovered. Turns out to be… a tie?
As I was putting it away I noticed there was something else in there. Yep, that’s an eye patch.
As is fairly standard with these things, there’s an artbook included. I tried to be choosy about the images to prevent spoilers.
The soundtrack comes in a nice jewel case, which is a bonus. It looks to be the full setlist too (or at least more impressive than the four song samplers we normally see with games).
I stacked up the regular edition so you could see the size comparison. It’s… rather ridiculous.
If shelf space is a concern for you, do know that it’s comparable in size to the last game’s set (be sure to check out the unboxings for DanganRonpa & DanganRonpa 2). It’s a pretty solid set, with the tie and eye patch serving to add a little despair to your wardrobe. If you’re wondering whether the game is even worth picking up in the first place, don’t miss Mark B.’s review which is live right now. And as always, thanks for checking out my unboxing!
