Game Collection Roundtable 05/31/2015: Splatoon (Wii U), Mighty Switch Force (3DS), Game of Thrones Episode Four (PS3)

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Joe Denver’s Lone Wolf HD Remastered (PC) – They had a 50% off sale for this game memorial day weekend. I enjoyed the iPhone version of Lone Wolf enough that I decided to spring for this. I loved the books and I am looking forward to playing this on my PC

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (Wii U)
Woah Dave (3DS)
Mighty Switch Force (3DS)

I did the Humble Bundle. I enjoyed Woah Dave on my Vita and to get it and two other games I’ve been curious about for next to nothing was too good to pass up. I didn’t bother with the other tiers of the bundle as I didn’t care for any of the games amongst them save for SteamWorld Dig, which I already have via PS+ on my Vita.

Game of Thrones Episode 4: (PS3)

I have a season pass and played through this already. This is probably my least favorite Telltale game yet. It’s certainly the buggiest.

Bundlestar’s Barbaric Bundle . It was only $3.49 and had two games I’ve wanted for a while. So, why not?

Doom & Destiny (PC)

Dreamscape (PC)

Both of these were little RPGs on steep discount on Steam. They were also on my wishlist so I grabbed them.

Mighty Switch Force (3DS) – Chris was kind enough to give me his code from the bundle. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played of Wayforward’s games, so it’s nice to be able to add this to my collection.

Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven (3DS) – I picked up the review copy of this. I was sold when I saw the battle system described as being like in Valkyria Chronicles (the posts about the game on XSEED’s Tumblr helped too). I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played of it so far.

Game of Thrones Episode Four (PS3) – This is the best episode so far, and it does a decent job of starting the road to redemption for the season. I’m hopeful for the next two episodes, but I’m keeping those hopes in check.

Persona 4 Arena Ulimax (PS3) – I got this on sale from gamefly for about seven bucks. I’ve been itching to try this one out, as I absolutely adore the Persona 4 universe. If nothing else, it will help tide me over until the dancing game comes out.

  • Mega Man 8 (PSN)
  • Splatoon (Wii U)

Mega Man 8 looks amazing on the PS Vita OLED!
