Game Collection Roundtable 04/10/2015: Dungeons & Dragons: Princes of the Apocalypse, Omega Quintet (PS4), Element 4L (PS Vita)

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Indie Gala Horror Bundle. I paid $1.89 for several games I was interested in. Hurrah.

Video Games

  • Dishonored (PS3)
  • Never Alone (PS4)
  • Aaru’s Awakening (PS4/PS3)
  • Tower of Guns (PS4/PS3)
  • Dungeons and Dragons Online: Temple of Elemental Evil Pack (PC)
  • MonsterBag (PS Vita)
  • Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)

Dishonored was free with PS+ this month, but a game I’ve been hovering around picking up since it came out. I’ve got it downloading and look forward to actually playing it sometime soon. Aaru’s Awakening, MonsterBag and Tower of Guns are free with PS+ this month. Hadn’t heard of them before hand. I’d been meaning to pick Never Alone up as I’m a sucker for a good platformer and I loved the subject matter. Free with PS+ this month. Killzone Mercenary was with the free PS+ content for the month. I already own a physical copy so I probably won’t ever actually download this because empty space is precious on my Vita at the moment, but now I have the option of trading it in. So there is that.

I actually get access to Dungeons and Dragons Online: Temple of Elemental Evil Pack as a VIP player but since I’ll always have access that counts too. This is another throwback much like the one they did for Haunted Halls of Eveningstar. They brought in a guest DM with Wil Wheaton doing the narration along with some different commentary tracks and the option to run through at level 7-9 and then 28-30 on epics is really nice, plus, new epic equipment is always a welcome addition.

  • Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition Princes of the Apocalypse

I didn’t really get excited for Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition Princes of the Apocalypse until I read a few brief write-ups on it online and then decided I needed to take a look. Definitely worth every penny I paid for it. Great campaign for Fifth Edition.

Aaron

  • Yoshi’s New Island (3DS)
  • Omega Quintet (PS4)

Yoshi’s New Island was my platinum bonus from club Nintendo. It was this or Mario Party and I have no intention of playing that, I don’t think I’ll be playing this any time soon, but free is free. So I’ve finally gotten around to playing a Compile Heart game. So far it’s a bit pretentious and a hell of a lot skeevy. I certainly won’t be playing it in front of polite company.

  • Aaru’s Awakening (PS4/PS3)
  • Tower of Guns (PS4/PS3)
  • MonsterBag (PS Vita)
  • Killzone Mercenary (PS Vita)
  • Element 4L (PS Vita)

Great month for PS Plus as Aaru’s Awakening looks like a great platformer. Also picked up another platformer on Vita with Element 4L.
