Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.
- Super Mario Bros 2 (Wii U)
- Project NightCry (PC)
I had 200 coins left at Club Nintendo and I already own SMB 3 so I decided, why the fuck not? What else was I going to get? Project NightCry (PC) won’t be out until Dec 2015 (I expect it to be at least a year late), but I backed this Kickstarter since it’s the Human guys (and a few others) reuinited to make a new Clock Tower sans the official brand name that Capcom owns. It’s got Scissorsman…sorry Scissorswalker and it takes place on a boat ala Echo Night, so I’m very in favor of seeing the final result of this game.
- There Came an Echo (PC)
The fact that this is from the same developer who made Sequence piqued my interest (even if I was a bit slow in connecting those dots). The fact that Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey are in it may have kinda sorta maybe contributed too (…don’t judge me…). I was a bit skeptic of the whole voice controls thing, and it took some adjustment and switching to another headset to get them to work consistently for me. But it’s neat when they do (it even reacts to “Shut up, Wesley”).
…Another thing I just realized. The guy who voiced Byakuya Togami in Dangan Ronpa made this game (and also voices a character in it). My mind is blown.
- Flipnote Studio 3D (3DS)
Free from Club Nintendo.
- Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy+ (3DS)
- Mega Man amiibo
- Ike amiibo
- Metaknight amiibo
Ace Combat was for review (which you can check out here). It was my first time using my amiibos on the New 3DS XL, which means all of that chaotic hunting wasn’t for nothing. Speaking of which, I managed to secure a few more, including Ike who was on top of my list of most highly sought after.
- htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary (Sony PlayStation Vita)
- Donkey Kong County (Wii U)
