Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Digital Video Games:
- Venom Pinball (Sony PS3)
- Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon (PC)
I’m a sucker for Pinball and Venom Pinball makes my third pinball table for Zen Pinball 2 this year, with the others being both South Park tables. Venom Pinball is unfortunately the least of the three. It’s a throw back to the earlier Marvel tables which weren’t very good. Warhammer 40K Armageddon is essentially Panzer Corps with the Warhammer License. For those of you who don’t play a lot of PC SRPGs, Panzer Corps is the game Nintendo’s Advance Wars was an homage to. If you like that type of game then you should probably go down load this. The sheer amount of options will probably overwhelm some of you but oh my god is this thing the most detailed wargame I’ve ever seen in computerized form.
Digital Tabletop:
- Warhammer 40K Dataslate: The Unrelenting Hunt
- Warhammer 40K Dataslate: Kranon’s Helguard
Two way overpriced extras for my Dark Vengeance boxed set. 22 pages each but most (20) of it is just pictures of miniatures rather than content. What little content is there kind of sucks – a page and a half of fiction and half a page of mechanics. Bad Games Workshop, Bad!
Physical Tabletop
- Warhammer Fantasy: 2 boxes of Bretonnian Questing Knights, Bretonnian Pegasus Knight, Bretonnian Field Trebuchet, Bretonnian Damsel with Staff set, Tomb Kings High Queen Khalida.
I found a seller on Amazon who had two boxes of Bretonnian Questing Knights for only $34 each. Usually these things sell for $74.25 each so I was essentially getting them for more than half off. I have a small Bretonnian force so I picked these up. At the same time Games Workshop FINALLY got a Field Trebuchet in stock. These things are rare and on the secondary market sell for over $100, so I was going to grab one of those too (for $50) then said, “Fuck it.” and got the last few pieces I needed for my 2000 point Bretonnian Army and an extra Khalida. I have one already but I wanted a second with a different paint scheme – one for my Tomb Kinds and one for an Undead Legions variant. She’s a great figure, the lynchpin of any Tomb Kings army and she’s fantastic to paint. I’m excited to spend the beginning of 2015 painting my full 50-some piece of knights and see how they fare against Lizardmen and Tomb Kings as my third complete army.

- Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX (PS3)
- Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment (Vita)
There are only three Kingdom Hearts games that I’d ever replay again (I, II, and BBS), and all three of them are contained within the Collector’s Edition of Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX, making it the latest oversized set to be added to my collection. In addition, I’ve had passing interest in the Sword Art Online game for Vita for quite awhile now, but couldn’t bring myself to pay that price for a translation that was less than stellar. If you have PS+ though, it can be had for $23.99 this week, which is enough for me to take a chance on it. Hopefully the localization doesn’t sour what looks like an otherwise decent game.

- Injustice Gods Among Us Complete Edition (PS4)
I’d been meaning to pick this one up anyway, but with it coming to PS Plus just this week, I didn’t have to. I love the DC Universe and while I love a good fighting game, I rarely have time to get engaged with them anymore. The last one I ended up getting was one I reviewed, Dead or Alive 5 on the Vita. So this is very welcome to my growing digital PS4 collection. It looks great, didn’t break the hard drive and I look forward to pounding the hell out of any number of people as Batgirl, because hey, it’s Babs.

- Thanatos, Orpheus Telos and and Magatsu-Izanagi for Persona Q (3DS)
I wasn’t really planning on picking up the paid DLC for Persona Q, but the game managed to be enjoyable enough that I didn’t mind the asking price ($2 apiece for Thanatos and Magatsu-Izanagi), and since Orpheus Telos and Kaguya (acquired last week) were free I decided to complete the set. It’s interesting, though, because while I would argue that you should almost definitely pick up Orpheus Telos and Kaguya, free or not, because of the skills they possess, Thanatos and Magatsu-Izanagi really aren’t must haves. They’re huge and powerful, but their “special” skills amount to three turn damage-dealing spells, while the free Personas come with highly desirable damage negation/healing spells that are basically game-breakers, and they’re the free ones. So, if you have the game (and you should), definitely download the free Personas as soon as you possibly can, but don’t feel like you’re missing out if you don’t pony up the $4 for Thanatos and Magatsu-Izanagi, as you can live without them.

- Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (Wii U)
- Fantasy Hero ~Unsigned Legacy~ (Vita)
Im a sucker for first party Nintendo releases as well as Arc System Works games, so my pickups both continued those trends. The Toad game looks to be one of my favorites for the year and I hope i can mostly beat it this weekend. I also got the new PS Plus games but nothing too notable there for me.
