In Friday’s Japanese Nintendo Direct, Capcom announced that Shu Takumi, the original creator of the Ace Attorney series, is working on a new Ace Attorney game. He had previously announced that he was working on a new game at the end of last year, but until today had not announced the title of that game. The title card shown reads “Ace Attorney: A New Project Begins”. It will be “completely different” from previous Ace Attorney games, according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata. Takumi most recently worked on Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, which was released in Japan on November 29, 2012 and will be released March 28, 2014 in Europe and March 29, 2014. No specific release date for North America other than 2014 has been announced.
This game will be a 3DS exclusive, like its predecessor Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies. No release date has been announced.
