Images that have been leaked online reveal a new character for Super Smash Brothers 2014.
Palutena, The Goddess of Light from the Kid Icarus series, is apparently a new playable character in Smash Brothers.
The leaked image shows her with Mario with the thick black outline, indicating a 3DS screenshot.
While this has yet to be confirmed, the image is not from stock art from Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Weighing in on this one, there’s about three logical possibilities:
a) We’ve been had and we all frown
b) This is legit and she’s an Assist Trophy
c) This is legit and she’s a playable character
I’d happily take Palutena as a playable rep for the Kid Icarus IP over the more obvious (and lazy) Pittoo. Not sure if those are Orbitals from the 3DS game behind her or something else, but as she’s a goddess, she could stand to have a pretty interesting move set.
One more thing – Someone just pointed this out. Look at the bottom left pic. She appears to have a Mario star as one of her gold charms. Seems like a really strange thing to add to a fake.
