Raging Swan Press are back with a follow on to their So What’s For Sale, Anyway? Pathfinder sourcebook, entitled So What’s For Sale, Anyway? II.

In a nutshell, what this book does, is give the busy GM a bunch of pre-stocked shops, spread out across towns of all sizes, from Thorps to Metropolises, once again accessed by a simple dice roll. Now, while the list size is smaller than the first edition (87, down from 157 in book one), this edition introduces a couple of new things that can definitely add to one’s campaign.

For starters, there is the addition of shopkeeper NPCs, which can help add as much or as little extra colour as the GM wants to the adventure. Secondly, and more gleefully for the more…evil GMs amongst us, are the addition of cursed items. Secreted amongst the lists of new items are four dozen cursed items, and c’mon – who amongst us doesn’t enjoy taking a risk in buying a wonderful new shield only to find out that it makes us immune to healing spells?

For those who read my review of the first volume, you’ll know that my one tiny issue with it was that it contained no stats for the items that needed them. Unfortunately, this is a problem that carries across to this book. Again, it’s nothing that should ward you against buying this, just something that you should be made aware of in advance.

Much like the first volume, this is quite a useful little purchase, made all the more useful (if not essential, especially for the GM who may struggle with a few NPCs) with its additions. And, again, for the price it is offered for, you can’t really go wrong.
