Chris
1. Name: Christopher Bowen
2. Age: 29 in May
3. Years as a Baseball Fan and Why: 23. I was raised by my grandmother on the Yankees.
4. Hometown: Derby, CT
5. Team(s) Supported and Why: New York Mets. No particular reason why; it’s a natural affinity. I also love watching the Seattle Mariners, and consider them my AL team. Blame Griffey, A-Rod and Johnson.
6. Favorite Baseball Game and Why: My personal favourite is the MLB: The Show series, though I do miss MVP.
7. Favorite Past Player and Why: David Wells; I identify with the rebellious bastard, and like him, I let my opinions be known whether people like it or not. Second is Curt Schilling for many of the same reasons.
8. Favorite Current Player and Why: Johan Santana. Watching him pitch is a thing of beauty.
9. Favorite Fictional Player and Why: Oko, from Bases Loaded.
10 Favorite Baseball Show or Movie: Major League. Second would be any scene from For Love of the Game where Kelly Preston and her daughter are not involved.
11. Favorite Ballpark Snack and Beverage: Hot dogs and cola.
12. Least Favorite Team and Why: It’s easy to pick the Yankees, but this is a tie between the Atlanta Braves and the Florida Marlins. Tip this one to the Marlins because they’re an all-around deplorable franchise that should never, ever, EVER have stolen two titles. At least the Braves have a redeeming value.
13. Least Favorite Player and Why: Brett Myers. I don’t want to hear anything about steroids abusers when this douchebag gets to beat his wife.
14. What Game Are You Playing This Season: I have to wait and see if any simulations come out in time; the sim titles (save Front Office Manager, which sucks) have a very bad habit of coming out in June. Until then, I’m going to say MLB ’09 The Show for PS2.
15. Contact Info For Online Games (Optional): Most of my online info doesn’t apply, since I won’t be playing the abhorable Major League Baseball 2K9 for 360. Nonetheless:
XBL: superbus1929
Steam: superbus1929
16. Best Baseball Memory: Endy Chavez’s catch in Game 7 of the NLCS.
17. Worst Baseball Memory: August 12, 1994.
18. Goals For This Season (In Game): Win a title, obviously.
19. Goals For Season (Real Life): Uh… not to get arrested for streaking across Citi Field?
20. Baseball Gaming Experience Level: As good as it gets.

Charlie
1. Name: Charlie Marsh
2. Age: 22 in April
3. Years as a Baseball Fan and Why: 13 years, when I moved to Chicago and got into the Cubs.
4. Hometown: Orange, CT
5. Team(s) Supported and Why: I lived in Chicago for a few years, picked up the Cubs there and brought them to CT when I moved. And, coming from a house full of Yankees fans, I can get behind them too when the Cubs are eliminated.
6. Favorite Baseball Game and Why:Super Bases Loaded. Even though it doesn’t have real teams or rosters, I think it’s fun. This spot would be taken by MLB 2K8 on the Wii if it wasn’t such a piece of garbage.
7. Favorite Past Player and Why: Willie Mays, because he’s the best ever.
8. Favorite Current Player and Why: Geovany Soto, or “Roy”, as I’ve called him since the All Star Break this year, because he’s awesome.
9. Favorite Fictional Player and Why: Bonds (He wasn’t given a first name, so I’ve called him “Harry” all these years), the default pitcher for the Atlanta Amoebas in Super Bases Loaded, because he was just lights out (until he got tired of course).
10 Favorite Baseball Show or Movie: Major League
11. Favorite Ballpark Snack and Beverage: The $12 chicken fingers at Yankee Stadium are actually worth that price.
12. Least Favorite Team and Why: The Red Sox. Because I hate them.
13. Least Favorite Player and Why: Alex Rodriguez, because no one deserves to be paid 500 bazillion gajillion dollars to play baseball. And he’s a cheater.
14. What Game Are You Playing This Season: MLB 2K9, most likely on the Wii.
15. Contact Info For Online Games (Optional): I don’t really play games online.
16. Best Baseball Memory: Despite being a Cubs fan, game 7 of the 2003 ALCS, aka the best game ever played, ever. Aaron Boone was my hero who picked me up from my depression because of:
17. Worst Baseball Memory: Steve Bartman. That fucking asshole.
18. Goals For This Season (In Game): Hopefully the game will be fun and un-glitchy.
19. Goals For Season (Real Life): I’ll start small…the Cubs need to win at least one playoff game. That’s all I ask. Baby steps.
20. Baseball Gaming Experience Level: Ok, I guess.

Guy
1. Name: Guy Desmarais
2. Age: 25
3. Years as a Baseball Fan and Why: None. I don’t like watching baseball, only playing it.
4. Hometown: Montreal
5. Team(s) Supported and Why: The Expos, but I’ve heard they don’t play that often anymore.
6. Favorite Baseball Game and Why: Ken Griffey Jr Baseball for SNES
7. Favorite Past Player and Why: Larry Walker
8. Favorite Current Player and Why: Russel Martin I guess. He’s the only one I really know.
9. Favorite Fictional Player and Why: Pedro Cirano
10 Favorite Baseball Show or Movie: Major League
11. Favorite Ballpark Snack and Beverage: Hot-dogs with beer
12. Least Favorite Team and Why: Toronton Blue Jays? I think I’m required by law to hate teams from Toronto
13. Least Favorite Player and Why: Kirk Rueter (sp?) because he used to bore me to tears
14. What Game Are You Playing This Season: MLB PowerPros for the DS
15. Contact Info For Online Games (Optional)
16. Best Baseball Memory: Going to the Olympic Stadium with my friends (the Expos used to give tons of free tickets to high schools to fill the empty stadium) and waiting until nobody was watching to go down to the VIP seats. We would eat and drink and not even bother watching what was going on.
17. Worst Baseball Memory: When they went on strike as the Expos were aiming for the championship, it really killed any budding interest I had in the sport
18. Goals For This Season (In Game): Have a win/loss ration over .500
19. Goals For Season (Real Life): Watch an entire game?
20. Baseball Gaming Experience Level: Haven’t played one since Ken Griffey Jr for the SNES

Chuck
1. Name: Chuck Platt
2. Age: 29
3. Years as a Baseball Fan and Why: 2 years. I resisted baseball for years, only watching the occasional Braves game on TBS. It was only after moving to Kansas City and through my wife’s constant efforts that I discovered the joys of attending a baseball game.
4. Hometown: Kansas City
5. Team(s) Supported and Why: Kansas City Royals. I am a Royals fan because you have to root root root for the home team.
6. Favorite Baseball Game and Why: BaseWars for the NES. I have no idea why I loved it so, I just did. Ken Griffey Jr. for the SNES was a close second.
7. Favorite Past Player and Why: Bob Uecker, because he was the dad on Mr. Belvedere and hosted those awful 80’s sports blooper shows.
8. Favorite Current Player and Why: Mark Teahen, because he is the sort of likable douchebag I can’t help but cheer for.
9. Favorite Fictional Player and Why: Kenny Powers from Eastbound and Down. Kenny acts like every gym coach I ever had and he rocks a mullet.
10 Favorite Baseball Show or Movie: Eastbound and Down
11. Favorite Ballpark Snack and Beverage: A Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer and a Scimeca’s Italian Sausage
12. Least Favorite Team and Why: The Yankees. They represent all that is evil in the world.
13. Least Favorite Player and Why: Is Barry Bonds too predictable? How about Mark Mcgwire? I hate steroid users to no end, so anyone built like a pro wrestler.
14. What Game Are You Playing This Season: MLB 09 the Show for PS3
15. Contact Info For Online Games (Optional): PSN: ChuckJaywalk
16. Best Baseball Memory: The Umbrella Night/ three hour rain delay game. The day my sister graduated from high school, my wife and I drove 3 hours, went to the graduation, in the rain, turned around, and drove three hours to Kauffman Stadium for Umbrella Night. We sat and waited through a 3 hour rain delay. After sitting in the cold May rain, huddled under our umbrellas for the game, we sang along to the radio, ate way too many peanuts, put away a couple hot dogs and beers, and watched Mark Teahen’s interview show on the K-Vision. It was surprisingly awesome.
17. Worst Baseball Memory: The Umbrella Night/ three hour rain delay game
18. Goals For This Season (In Game): Winning 85 games
19. Goals For Season (Real Life): Winning 85 games
20. Baseball Gaming Experience Level: No modern game experience

Bryan
1. Name: Bryan Berg
2. Age: 27
3. Years as a Baseball Fan and Why: 23. My earliest childhood memories are of the 1986 Mets. Literally. The furthest back thing I can remember is watching the ’86 Mets on TV.
4. Hometown: Long Island, N.Y.
5. Team(s) Supported and Why: New York Mets. I grew up in a household of Mets fans, so it was easy.
6. Favorite Baseball Game and Why: Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball (SNES). It was a fast-paced, arcade-style game that didn’t require hours of my time. To this day, it’s the only game I’ve ever played for an entire season.
7. Favorite Past Player and Why: Mike Piazza. I can’t say enough about him – he loved playing
in New York, he hit as many big home runs as anybody I can recall, and about a million other reasons.
8. Favorite Current Player and Why: David Wright. He plays the game the right way, does a ton of charity work that doesn’t get reported by the media, and is the heart and soul of the Mets despite being just 26 years old. And as good as his stats are, they don’t tell the whole story.
9. Favorite Fictional Player and Why: Bowers, the intellectually gifted relief pitcher from “Little Big League”.
10 Favorite Baseball Show or Movie: Little Big League.
11. Favorite Ballpark Snack and Beverage: My new favorite beverage is “Shackmeister Ale” from Citi Field. Favorite snack would have to be a helmet cup of Carvel ice cream.
12. Least Favorite Team and Why: The Philadelphia Phillies. Oh God, do I hate them. From Ryan “All I Do Is Strike Out” Howard to Chase “I Lean Over The Whole Fucking Plate” Utley to Brett “I Beat My Wife” Myers and the whole rest of the Phillies… I despise them all. I also hate the Yankees because the local media worships them and their fans are the most arrogant and insufferable people ever to live.
13. Least Favorite Player and Why: Derek Jeter. You really have to live in New York to appreciate how much the media rides his dick. He’s never done a thing wrong in his life, and even though he’s declining, the media keeps making excuses for him. Meanwhile, A-Rod is the best player of our generation and everybody hates him. Why? Because he’ll never be Derek Jeter.
14. What Game Are You Playing This Season: The Bigs (for now).
15. Contact Info For Online Games (Optional): My X-Box Live name is BBerg19. But I only have
Live Silver, so I can’t play online.
16. Best Baseball Memory: Third place is the Piazza home run in the first home game after 9/11 (I had tickets, but didn’t go). Second is giving Piazza a curtain call after he homered in his second game at Shea with the Padres (I was there). First is the Endy Chavez catch in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS. I was there for that one, too.
17. Worst Baseball Memory: First, second, and third came about an hour after my best baseball memory – Yadier Molina’s 9th inning home run and Adam Wainwright’s ridiculous curve ball that froze Carlos Beltran. I was at the final game of the 2007 Collapse, but it doesn’t count because I saw it coming.
18. Goals For This Season (In Game): Learn how to play well, get through the season, and win the World Series. In that order.
19. Goals For Season (Real Life): Not collapse in September. I’m dead serious. I don’t care if the Mets go 0-162 if it means they don’t blow a division lead in the final week of the season.
20. Baseball Gaming Experience Level: Not very high.
