Game Collection Roundtable 04/23/2016: Star Fox Zero (Wii U), Durarara!! Relay (Vita), Langrisser Re: Incarnation -TENSEI- (3DS)

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Tabletop:

30AE Space Mariner for Warhammer 40K
Index Astartes: Apocrypha
Brettonian Battalion

One is a book, the other is a model, but both are in honor of the 30th anniversary of Space Marines. I don’t play 40K but I figured I’d grabbed the figure while I was in the store and also the book since I like history books on gaming. I also grabbed a Brettonian Battalion since GW made a few more before my first ever Warhammer army goes out of print so I can have so extra figures, just in case.

Video Games:

Langrisser Re: Incarnation -TENSEI- (3DS) (Hey, it was free! I know it is supposed to be terrible, but a free SRPG is a free SRPG)
The Silent Age (PC)
A Golden Wake (PC)
Runaway Express Mystery (PC)

$1.50 for the above three games and a bunch of other between two bundles. I’m keeping the others as trade bait for down the line.

Resonance of Fate (PS3) I was curious about this after enjoying the characters in the past two Project X Zone games (#2 is my current GOTY) and it was only ten bucks during a PSN sale this week, so why not?

Durararavita

My copy of Durarara!! Relay for the Vita came in this week. For most of this month (okay, ALL), I have been stalking CDJapan’s site to check for an official release date for the Genos’ husband Saitama nendoroid. When looking at my bookmarks I saw that Durarara!! Relay was listed as “out of print” and well, I was shocked. I understand when Limited Editions of any game run out and never get re-released, but I had bookmarked a regular edition of a game and it was run out? This game was only released last year and I have seen plenty of other Vita games (such as the Steins;Gate spin-offs) still standing that are much older. Since I didn’t understand what happened and there’s an absolute zero chance of localization for this game, I looked on other sites to see if anyone carried the game. I ended up finding it on Amazon and here it is. It’s a Japanese visual novel with some tie-in to the Durarara 3way standoff series, I assume. I’m going to use it as stress relief when Bravely Second or Fire Emblem Fates makes me want to bash my head against a wall.

Now to find the other Durarara Vita game. For reasons.

Star Fox Zero (Wii U) – Despite my better judgement, I picked up Star Fox Zero. After a torturous few hours, I defeated the final boss and hope to never play it again.
