Jane Jensen is probably best known to gamers for the Gabriel Knight series. Now however she’s turned her attention to a new project called Grey Matter. Grey Matter is a Horror Adventure game being published by dtp Entertainment and developed by Wizarbox.
The plot of Grey Matter revolves around. Neurobiologist Dr. David Styles. Since losing his wife in a horrible accident some several years ago, he has become a recluse, seldom leaving Dread Hill House, his English country estate. When student and part-time street performer Samantha Everett shows up at his doorstep, she unexpectedly becomes his assistant. Hailing from America, Samantha has been travelling through Europe for the last several years. Her first task: finding six test subjects at Oxford University for one of Styles’ experiments. The experiment starts off innocently enough, but then inexplicable incidents start to occur, culminating with a visit from Styles’ dead wife. Now it’s up to Sam to solve the mysteries of Dread Hill House before something happens to her.
In Gray Matter, players control both Dr. David Styles and Samantha Everett in an attempt to uncover the secrets and find out the truth. Gray Matter promises to take a sharp look at what we consider reality and the power of the human mind.
Grey Matter is scheduled for release sometime here in 2009 and if the below screenshots are any indication, we’ve got a very pretty (and creepy) point and click game to look forward to. To learn more about Grey Matter, click on through to the official website.
