From the moment Rocket League first teased Rocket League Hoops on Twitter last month, our community has been actively (and enthusiastically) chasing us for a release date. And now, as the headline says, we finally have one – Tuesday, April 26th!
Starting next week, Rocket League Hoops comes to Xbox One FOR FREE with brand new strategies and an all-new Arena called “Dunk House,” which was specifically designed for the new mode. Unlike regular Rocket League, Hoops is a more challenging 2v2 version of our game that rewards strong aerial play and smart use of off-the-wall shots. It looks and plays like nothing we’ve offered before and should put the skills of even the most talented Rocket League player to the test. Check out the video above for a closer look.
As you may have noticed at the end, we have an additional surprise for you in the form of brand new, officially-licensed DLC. Thanks to our friends at the NBA, you can optionally purchase theRocket League – NBA Flag Pack for $1.99 USD (or regional equivalent) to represent your favorite team as an in-game flag. Picking up the add-on will give you immediate access to all 30 NBA team flags, but even if you don’t, all players will have a free NBA logo flag that they can equip straightaway.
As a reminder, the Hoops update isn’t the only goodies that Xbox One players will be getting in the next update. Our popular “Rocket Labs” experimental map feature will be coming to the platform as well, along with several other in-game items and additional performance improvements.
