Game Collection Roundtable 10/05/2015: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 (PS4), Persona 4: Dancing All Night Disco Fever Edition (Vita), Mega Man Legends (PS1 on PSN)

Every week, the Diehard GameFAN team adds new games to their collections. Sometimes they are new releases, physical or digital, DLC or full games, but they are all building blocks in our greater collections.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night Disco Fever Edition (Vita) – Yep. I plopped down eighty bucks on this thing and it is glorious. Already several hours into it and well on my way to another platinum. The story is….. odd, but far less so than something like Ultra Despair Girls. Can’t wait for the DLC songs to hit the market.

Mega Man Legends (PSN)

I already own Mega Man Legends on PS1, but I figured I’d throw some money behind it in a futile attempt to let Capcom know that yes, fans of the franchise do still exist. I also dished out for a collector’s edition for a rhythm game, because I make terrible life decisions.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 (PS4) – This is for my second DHGF review. I don’t want to give anything away, but look up the game on Youtube along with the word “glitch”.

3 older games I picked up:

Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril (Vita) and Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Vita) – I love my Lego games but have some gripes. Universe in Peril manages to fix some of them and make other aspects worse. It has shorter levels but you will play them more often; combat is more varied, but you now have one life to finish it all. It also just kind of decides to make characters walk in directions that you did not tell them to. DC Super Heroes is your typical portable Lego game. It removes the hub world (hurray!) and scales back the levels. Making it sleeker and it feels way less padded than the console version.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified(Vita) – The second level forces you to beat a stealth level, that remains stealth for about four seconds, with a timer. Each time you beat the timer a new one starts. If this was later in the game and it gave you time to adjust to the controls this would probably be ok, but playing a wonky Vita FPS game with added constraints in the level design before you have time to learn it just kind of sucks.
