Sega fans can rejoice as yet another major franchises is coming to modern consoles via download in 2012.
Virtua Fighter 5: Showdown will be the latest arcade revision which includes fan favorite Taka-Arashi from Virtua Fighter 3 and an all-new character, Jean Kujo as well as new arenas and major balance and gameplay tweaks.

SEGAÃ‚Â® of America, Inc. and SEGAÃ‚Â® of Europe Ltd. today announced that Virtua Fighter™ 5, the latest title in its celebrated fighting franchise, will see a grand update and expansion released as a standalone title for both Xbox LIVEÃ‚Â® Arcade for the Xbox 360Ã‚Â® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStationÃ‚Â®Network. The new game, entitled Virtua Fighter™ 5 Final Showdown™, will contain a full overhaul of Virtua Fighter 5’s mechanics, balance and animations, along with new game modes, new dynamic fighting arenas, a massive collection of customizable character items and new characters added to the roster. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is expected to be available in summer 2012.
