2K Games Announces First Downloadable Content for BioShockÃ‚Â® 2 Available March 11 Worldwide
BioShock franchise reaches major milestone with more than seven million units sold globally
March 5, 2010 – 2K Games announced today that the Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack, the first in a series of single and multiplayer downloadable content for BioShockÃ‚Â®2, will be available on March 11, 2010 from both the XboxÃ‚Â®LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360Ã‚Â® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Games for WindowsÃ‚Â®-LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points, and from the PlayStationÃ‚Â®Network for $4.99.
BioShock 2 has already shipped over three million units worldwide just four weeks after its release – cementing its place as one of 2010’s blockbuster games. Additionally, the original BioShock has now sold more than four million units globally since its release in August 2007, bringing the total sales of the franchise to seven million units.
Sinclair Solutions Tester Pack, the first of several planned downloadable packages, contains a number of customization features that will allow players to further their character’s development in BioShock 2’s multiplayer modes and provide a deeper multiplayer experience. The pack includes:
Rank increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
New playable characters – Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
20 new trials*
A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
Five additional masks*
*Some items are only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher.
Announcements about additional downloadable content for BioShock 2 that will extend the game’s single player and multiplayer experience will be made in the coming weeks.
