I like the workout mode but the songs are too short. Just when I get my heart rate up, the song stops. Can I get the songs to continuious play?

I got DDR HP3 for Christmas and love it, but I’m on the 2nd go-round in Tournament Mode and am seriously stuck. On Heatstroke, the day before Regional Championships, and I can NOT get above a C. Seriously – I can get a full combo, like 121 Perfect or Marvelous and a few greats and I still get a C! WHAT am I doing wrong? I’ve been stuck here for over a month. Help please!

Hey David it probably stops because in harder modes arrows will show up their since the steps in that spot would be more difficult that the setting your playing. It may also be a break in the workout, I don’t know I havent played the workout mode yet. Hope this helps.

yes im probably going to sound really retarded but i don’t care. im new at dance dance revolution hottest party 3. so i was wondering why is it that when im playing a song on the workout mode on beginner( i am new) why does the song stop playing and the arrows stop during the middle of the song. if anyone can help me..it will be very helpful.. thanks

Colleen – The numbers are your overall score and the letters are your grade, like you would have gotten in school on your report card. You’ll unlock things by playing through the game. It’s a reward for continuing to play the game and/or getting better.

I just receiveved DDR3 as a Christmas gift from my 28 yr old son. I’m 54 and never played a video game in my life. But I really love to dance so I wanted this game, and am thrilled to have it. The problem is, there is a great deal of it, I simply don’t understand. I’m wondering if there is a place on the game, itself, that explains what all the numbers mean, letters (A, B. C,D, E), scoring, unlocking things that appear to be “locked”, etc? Or is there a website that shows what all that stuff is for a newbie like me?

Shiela – It’s a hard call. HP3 has the most options and the better track list, but HP2 is only 19.99 these days and has better wiimote controls.

HP3 is probably your best overall choice.

Thanks for this review. It’s really extensive and detailed. Good work writing it up. I previously bought Hottest Party 3 and wanted to see what others thought since it’s my first foray into a DDR game.

Also thanks for clearing up the Hottest party 2 save unlock thing. I kept thinking that “unlocking all the songs from Hottest Party 2″ meant that it would unlock them for play on Hottest Party 3. Basically adding all the songs from HP2 to HP3. I was almost ready to buy HP2. lol
