Hey Linda - I do want to say one good thing about Wii Fit. If it is the impetus it takes to get people back in shape, then great! It just needs to be a supplement, not the main activity one does.

Because the board only goes by pressure sensitivity, you don't have a coach or yoga instructor making sure you are doing positions and stretches correctly. As such, you may actually be doing them wrong and in ways that could hurt you while the Wii Fit rewards you.

If you're looking for a video game to help you get back into exercising, there are many games for the Wii that actually do this better like Active Life Outdoor Challenge, All Star Cheer Squad, Wii Sports and my personal favorite, DDR Hottest Party 1 & 2.

Thanks for the review. I am now 42 and use to be in really good shape. I am still at the ideal weight but am so out of shape. I was thinking of purchasing the wii to help me get my lazy butt off the couch and get some exercise but looks like it isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Guess I better get to the gym!!
